MORE ON JEWELRY DESIGNING
Beginning jewelry makers often start out making jewelry by following instructions, such as many of the free projects on various sites. This is a safe place to begin and practice jewelry making techniques. Even beginners are eager to move into the world of jewelry designing so they no longer have to copy designs but instead can invent their own.There are many books available. Look in the fashion magazines-see the current styles,think how how you could make it better. See the colors,envision how you would like to see it worn and with what clothing.
Want to try "fine" jewelry design? The first step to becoming a "fine" jewelry designer is to learn the basics of the craft. You would need to know the basics of making it. For example, you'd want to learn casting, metal fabrication, and soldering. You will need to know the stones and how to work with them.There are rock clubs that also teach jewelry workings. Also, if you decide you really like the work,schools are out there too.
Next after all this,you need to get started-supplies. Beads,stones,glass,silver-the wire- thread-and all the other materials.There are a lot of choices. Look over all the styles of jewelry you like and decide what you want to start with. Dream Big~!

I love Jewelry.That is where it started. Then I thought I can make my own. I discovered I can't stop-there are Pearls(of all kinds),Stones(so many colors and kinds),Gold and Silver. Then it was idea after idea. I saw things I liked,but I knew I could do it better. And then season after season jewelry changed with the styles. Of course,there are the very important basics.Every woman needs Pearls. They are a statement .Off I went with Treasure of the Sea. Then I discovered there are lots of colors,shapes and kinds of Pearls. At this point I knew I had to learn more about design and the jewelry making process. So,here I am today,traveling to places around the country showing my wonderful pieces to women in need of something special.
